Eagle

Scoring

A score of two strokes under par on a hole. For example, scoring 2 on a par-4 hole.

Explained Simply

Eagles are rare and thrilling, even for experienced golfers. The most common way to make an eagle is to reach a par-5 green in two shots and then sink the putt. A hole-in-one on a par-3 is also an eagle.

Example

""She holed out from the fairway for an eagle on the par-5.""
