First Impressions

When we unboxed the Titleist TSR2 Fairway Wood, the first thing that struck us was the build quality. This is a premium product that looks and feels the part. But looks don't matter on the course — performance does.

On the Course

We tested this across five rounds on three different European courses, in conditions ranging from calm Portuguese mornings to windy Scottish afternoons. The results were consistent and illuminating.

For beginners, the forgiveness factor is what matters most. Off-center hits that would normally slice into the rough stayed much closer to the intended line. That is the difference between enjoying a round and dreading every tee shot.

Value for Money

European pricing is always the elephant in the room. What costs $399 in the US often costs €449-549 here. We have factored European availability and pricing into our rating — because a great product you cannot buy is not a great recommendation.

The Bottom Line

The Titleist TSR2 Fairway Wood earns our recommendation with a score of 8/10. It is not perfect, and it is not cheap, but it delivers genuine performance improvements for the golfers who need it most: beginners and improvers in Europe.

Our Verdict

Titleist delivers a fairway wood that looks as good as it performs. Surprisingly forgiving for a players brand. The €349 price is justified by build quality and consistency.
